At a recent Les Twentyman’s book launch for his new publication “The Mouth That Roared” the attendees were treated to some very humorous stories delivered by two longstanding friends and great supporters of Les Twentyman’s campaign to create awareness and solutions in eradicating Youth Homelessness and Drug Addiction in our cities, namely, outstanding Australian TV and Film Actor, Gary Sweet and the Leader of the Opposition, The Hon. Bill Shorten. MP.
Who said our great Politician’s do not have a sense of humour?
With both Gary Sweet and Bill Shorten launching this book, Bill Shorten delivered one of the best lines of the year when he said….
It is my objective in profiling this great man, Les Twentyman, that I keep my story “Shorten Sweet” …
What a brilliant and clever line, it actually brought the house down with laughter…
See …Bill has a great sense of humour, but equally as important, Bill delivered a moving and straight from the heart speech on the fantastic work Les has undertaken to help the most disenfranchised and abandoned youth in our society for over three decades.
I was impressed with both Gary and Bill’s sincerity and friendship towards this great Australian, Les Twentyman.
