I recently caught up with Chris Anstey at our other office at Percy Jones's Nth Fitzroy Arms Hotel, where Chris delivered a fascinating insight into his extraordinary journey from the western suburbs of Melbourne to the biggest league in the basketball world, the NBA, is was amazing story.

Chris Anstey is 7'0" (213 cm), his career included stints in the National Basketball Association (NBA), Russia and Spain. 

Chris, was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round (18th pick overall) of the 1997 NBA draft. 

He also played for the Melbourne Tigers, South East Melbourne Magic and Victoria Titans in the NBL and represented Australia with the Boomers competing in 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2008 Athens Olympics. 

He is certainly a great Australian that made it to the top of his sporting career.

Today, Chris is a very passionate and inspirational speaker, that outlines his story on early development in his sporting career and where he came from, the western suburbs in Melbourne to aspiring to the top of the tree in his chosen profession competing against some of the biggest names in NBA history, to achieve multi million dollar contracts with various NBA and international basketball teams.

He now brings that experience and success in his illustrious sporting career to the speaker lectern to inspire not just sports person, but also everyone in the business world, that you can dream and believe in yourself to achieve great things in life.
